The federal government revised the Basic Pay Scales for civil servants in 2026, replacing the BPS-2022 chart with a new BPS-2026 chart. If you are a government employee, a CSS aspirant, or simply checking what each grade earns, this guide gives you the complete Pakistan BPS salary chart 2026 with minimum pay, annual increment and maximum pay for all 22 scales, plus the key allowance rules and officer grade mapping.
What changed in the 2026 pay revision
The Ministry of Finance issued Office Memorandum No.F.1(2)IMP/2026 dated 21 July 2026, titled "Revision of Basic Pay Scales and Allowances of Civil Servants of the Federal Government 2026". Under this revision, Basic Pay Scales-2026 replaced BPS-2022 with effect from 01-07-2026.
The new scales were formed by merging two allowances into basic pay: Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2022 (15 percent of the running basic pay of BPS-2017) and Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2025 (10 percent of the running basic pay of BPS-2022). Both allowances ceased to exist with effect from 01-07-2026. The revision applies to civil employees of the Federal Government paid from civil estimates and defence estimates.
