829 Balochistan quota posts open until 11 November 2026
Pakistan Railways has advertised posts for Balochistan domicile holders under the federal Balochistan Employment Initiative, with applications through the National Job Portal (NJP) only and a last date of 11 November 2026. Two advertisements are open at the same time: the Divisional Superintendent Office Quetta, reference PID(L)1093/2026, and the Headquarters Office Lahore, reference PID(L) 1094/2026. Bloom Pakistan reports 829 posts in total, 805 in the Quetta Division and 24 at Headquarters. Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has directed the authorities to complete the recruitment process before 30 November 2026. Only candidates holding a Balochistan domicile can apply, and the appointment is on a two year contract basis with no right to regular appointment or seniority.
One figure needs stating plainly. Other job portals report the total as 825, and one reports 798 posts for Quetta. A count of the posts listed one by one in the official Quetta advertisement comes to 800. The difference is a handful of posts in the Quetta table. The closing date, the eligibility rules and the application route are the same in every version, so apply through the National Job Portal listing itself and check the post you want there.

Ex-servicemen get the upper age limit relaxed by 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less. Government servants and contract employees with two years of continuous government service on the closing date get a ten year relaxation up to the age of 55. Disabled candidates get ten years. The widow or child of a deceased civil servant who died during service gets five more years. Where a candidate qualifies for relaxation under more than one category, only one category applies. Only candidates holding a valid Local or Domicile Certificate of Balochistan are eligible, and for Gangman and Gatekeeper the domicile must be of the relevant districts of the Quetta Division. A candidate holding a dual domicile or a domicile from another province is disqualified immediately. Open, minority and women quotas are observed where applicable.
