Sub-Inspectors (BS-14), ASIs (BS-11) and Constables (BS-07) are recruited through departmental selection processes, and serving officers earn promotion up the hierarchy, as seen in FIA's 2026 rank pinning ceremonies where Inspectors were promoted to Assistant Director.
