The importance of government buildings in any country is inevitable, the beauty and official importance of these buildings remain intact in every era of government .In every country of the world, government buildings are constructed in some unique and specific way and these are the buildings that become the identity of any country. Similarly, In Pakistan has several special buildings, which we often read about in newspapers, news channels or books and there are many such buildings near which we spend our daily lives.

Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad

The Supreme Court is the highest court in Pakistan. The Supreme Court building in Islamabad is one of the most beautiful government buildings in Pakistan. It not only represents the rule of law but also power of the constitution throughout the country.

Interestingly, the design of the Supreme Court of Pakistan building was prepared by the award-winning Japanese architecture firm Kenzo Tange Associates, while CD Engineering and Semes Engineering participated in the construction of this complex. The building is built with beautiful white marble, which is a beautiful blend of European and Islamic architecture. Moreover, the central block consists of 11 courtrooms, five of which are called main courtrooms. Moving further, the Judges Chamber Block, this part houses the Chamber Houses and the Chief Justice’s Office.

The library located in the basement has 7200 books, reports and journals. Overall, the Supreme Court of Pakistan building is built on an area of ​​3,39,861 square feet. The construction of this building cost about Rs. 61 crore.

High Court, Karachi

The High Court building in Karachi is a masterpiece of architecture with high ceilings and corridors. Originally,It was built by the British government in the last decade of the 1800s.

The current form of the High Court is a new form of this building, which was rebuilt in 1923, which cost about 30 lakh 35 thousand rupees at that time. Furthermore, the use of red stones gives the building an impressive look, As a result, it remains one of the best example of architecture among all the buildings in Pakistan.

Prime Minister House, Islamabad

Prime Minister’s House is a building located in the Red Zone of Islamabad. Construction began in 1963 and was completed in about 7 years. During this time, the architects of the Capital Development Authority and the engineers of the KDA worked together in the construction of this building.

It is one of the largest buildings in Pakistan. According to the reports, the size of the Prime Minister’s House can be estimated from the fact that it can accommodate 4 major universities like Quaid-e-Azam University, one of the major universities of Pakistan.Thus, it remains a symbol of both political power and architectural excellence.

Lahore High Court

The Lahore High Court has the distinction of being the highest court in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The formal construction of its building began in 1919 by the order of George VII. This building is located on Mall Road between the General Post Office and the new State Bank of Pakistan building.

The Lahore High Court building was built in 1889 in the Mughal Gothic style. Mr. Brosenton designed this building and it was built under the supervision of Executive Engineer Mr. G. E. Hilton. The total cost of the construction of this building was Rs. 321,837.

Governor House, Karachi

The official residence of the Governor of Sindh is located on Aiwan-e-Sadr Road in Karachi. The building of Governor House Karachi was designed by British architect Moses Smoak. Built in 1939, this building consists of a beautiful colonial-style veranda, servant quarters and large rooms.

Governor House Karachi has a swimming pool, horse stables, and a small zoo in one part of the building. This was the official residence of the country’s first Governor General, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, after the establishment of Pakistan. This building was also called the Governor General House.
